Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain interactive visualizations in PowerBI through data interpretation and analysis, integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources;
- Work closely with project managers to understand and design dashboards to meet their analytical requirements, including identifying critical metrics;
- Coordinate with financial systems team on data architecture and direct system feeds;
- Understand database structures and facilitate changes where required;
- Oversee the publishing of dashboards;
- Lead special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required;
To succeed in this role, you:
- Possess a post-secondary education;
- Have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role;
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Power BI, databases (SQL, etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) with the ability to learn other analytic tools;
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and data analysis;
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings;
- A business mindset and proven financial analytical skills;
- Exceptionally strong work ethic and a high level of analytical capabilities and attention to detail;
- Team player with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization at all levels; and
- Demonstrated superior communication skills (written, oral, presentations) and problem-solving skills
