Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in the design and implementation of the UX and UI of all client-facing websites and applications
- Able to effectively design, build and deploy in a continuous delivery environment using our leading-edge dev-ops stack
- Create visually appealing user experiences user-friendly design and clear navigation
- Work with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and execute SEO plans, and maximize sales conversions
- Expertise and hands-on experience with Web Applications and programming languages, especially native JavaScript
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Work with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and optimal performance
- Develop well-structured, maintainable CSS/CSS3, ReactJS, JavaScript and HTML/HTML5 to build out large-scale, responsive websites
- Help maintain code quality, test procedures, and documentation
Qualifications & Skill Set:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate (oral and written) in English
- French would be an asset but not required
- 1-3 years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and related libraries
- 1-3 years of experience with JS frameworks like jQuery, React, and similar
- In-depth understanding and experience in the development process in an Agile environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in small teams
- Good knowledge of SEO design principles
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment, organize and prioritize work independently, and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with PHP is an asset
- Strong understanding of responsive design techniques and practices
- Experience with source control systems, especially Git
- Experience with browser testing and debugging
