Oracle HRIS Manager

Overview

The candidate will be responsible for the management and system functions of the company’s Oracle HCM Cloud system and related applications.  They will serve as a technical point of contact for configuration, maintenance, security, user training, system upgrades, implementation of additional functionalities, patches, testing and other technical projects as needed. This candidate will have to work with other members of the IS team to execute strategies for integration of the HCM system and recommend and implement improvements to the HRIS ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the design, development and administration of the HCM System and related software tools and interfaces.
  • Manage and oversee the HRIS Team of Business System Analysts
  • Recommend and develop best practices for workflow utilizing available system functionalities.
  • Provide set-up and configuration of security roles, tables, workflow, and business rules
  • Participate in HCM implementation and rolling out of new modules (time and attendance, talent management, etc.). Play a lead role in gathering business requirements, system/integration testing and user acceptance testing, and training to end-users
  • Implement new functionalities as provided by vendors via upgrades, patches and releases, including managing related testing
  • Evaluate the HCM system to ensure the business needs are being met, including all compliance requirements
  • Provide expertise and recommendations for building reports and manipulating data using Business Intelligence software
  • Provide training and guidance to system end-users. Oversee creation and/or updating of training and process documentation
  • Ensure company change management processes and project governance guidelines are adhered to and that high-quality documentation and training guides are a key deliverable for all initiatives

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or another business-related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on Oracle HCM experience
  • Oracle HCM Cloud certifications would be an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a team of BSA professionals
  • Minimum of 3 years combined US and Canadian Human Resource experience
  • Experience with additional Oracle Cloud solutions a plus
  • Experience leading a team through all phases of an HCM implementation
  • Organized and task-oriented. Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects concurrently ensuring that timelines are balanced with resource constraints and resulting deadlines are met

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing business presentations and power user training materials
  • Ability to solve problems spanning multiple environments in a business area
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all management levels and end-user levels
  • Demonstrated competency in project planning and delivery
